Heartier Healthier Puppies - It is my goal to produce  healthier, heartier, more enjoyable pups for people to take home and make their own. I have 3 daughters of my own and now 5 grandchildren, I know the importance of a loving and durable pet that the children and adults both can love.  Beagles, Puggles, and Bassets in particular. It is very important to be well informed on what to expect when you bring your new puppy home.

It is very important to keep in mind that a puppy is much like a child.  They take lots of care and attention.  The younger puppies do make the transition easier than the older puppies, but young puppies may have more stages to go through than an older pup.  We have older puppies available from time to time due to the fact that we keep each and every one until they find a home.  When you get a young puppy, you are adopting a new friend into your family, when you get an older puppy, time will be required for the puppy to adopt you and your family as it's own.  A couple of weeks of TLC and understanding as well as training and proper care will really pay off.  If you love and respect them, they will become your most loyal and loving friend ever.  Another thing to keep in mind is that just like a baby may be born with blue eyes and blond hair but grow up to have green eyes and brown hair, the puppies do change as they grow too.  Some will keep the blue eyes, some will turn green or amber as they get a little older but most won't have the typical brown eyes if they start out with blue.  The hair coat and color pattern can also change on a puppy as they grow.  They can get lighter, darker, tan can take over the black areas or the other way around.  That is part of what makes them so special!
